Aug 20, 2020 CDC’s Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report Surveillance Summary on the 2017 National Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS) provides the most recent surveillance data on health behaviors and experiences among high school students across the country. It reports on risks that contribute to the leading causes of death and disability among youth. The Youth Risk Behavior Surveillance System (YRBSS) monitors six types of health-risk behaviors that contribute to the leading causes of death and disability among youth and adults, including behaviors that contribute to unintentional injuries and violence; sexual behaviors that contribute to unintended pregnancy and sexually transmitted disease, including HIV infection; alcohol and other drug. CDC Reports: The documents below were created for Wisconsin by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). They contain detailed data tables and are useful for learning more about specific questions or looking up data points that don’t appear in the DPI reports. CDC normally releases national (U.S.) statistics from the YRBS during the summer.

NYC Youth Risk Behavior Survey
The NYC Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS) is conducted through an ongoing collaboration between the NYC Health Department, the Department of Education and the National Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Create app from python mac 2018. The City's YRBS is part of the CDC's National Youth Risk Behavior Surveillance System.
Based on the protocol developed by CDC, the survey has been conducted in odd-numbered years since 1997. The survey's primary purpose is to monitor priority health risk behaviors that contribute to the leading causes of mortality, morbidity and social problems among youth in the city.

Public high school students in grades 9 through 12 complete a self-administered, anonymous questionnaire that measures a variety of behaviors, including:

The NYC YRBS can provide prevalence data for the city as a whole, for each of the five boroughs (starting in 2003), and since 2005 for three high-risk neighborhoods — the South Bronx, North and Central Brooklyn, and East and Central Harlem in Manhattan — where the Health Department has its Neighborhood Health Action Centers, formerly known as District Public Health Offices (DPHOs).
